Tutorial : Creating adrop shadow in flash ...

Step 1.
Boot Flash ... for this tutorial im using flash version 4.

Step 2.
Click the text tool and create some text on the main stage ... for this tutorial i used the text shadow.


Step 3.
Select your text and press F8, give it a name, select graphic and click ok.


Step 4.
Select your new symbol and click edit copy and edit paste to create a copy of your original.


Step 5.
Now double click the copy you just made to bring up the symbol properties menu, and click the colour effect tab.
Pull down the effects drop down and select tint ... my parameters are shown below.

Click ok when your finished.

Step 6.
Now double click the original symbolon the main stage and click the effects tab this time set the symbols alpha to 60% as shown below.


Step 10.
Arrange your symbols on the main stage and select both copies when your satisfied your the shadow is in the right position and press F8 give your symbol a name ie. ShadowText and click ok you should have somthing like this ...
