Tutorial : Converting an image to a vector image ...

NB.
For this tutorial we wont be using the trace function.

Step 1.
Boot Flash ... for this tutorial im using flash version 4.

Step 2.
Import your image to the stage.


Step 3.
Lock the current layer

NB. I renamed my layer to ImageLayer for reference so i know where the image lies.


Step 4.
Add a new layer above the locked layer.
By clicking Insert > Layer

NB. I called this layer mask for reference.


Step 5.
Select the line tool/pencil tool, zoom in and get tracing.


(By hiding the layer with the image on you can easily track your progress)



Result :






You can also remove the lines to give a more finished look ...
