Tutorial : Graffiti/photoshop tutorial by IllSKills
Graffiti tutorial showing how to go from a sketch to a digital canvas.
1. Boot Photoshop
2.
Open your sketch/throw you want to add colour to.

(I know its not a good example to use lol but it'll do btw. its says
dangerous, spelt 'dainjarus')
3.
Next we need to insert a new layer to start adding colours ... you'll
see why layers are so important later in the tutorial
Select from the file menu > Layer > New > Layer
4.
If the layers menu is not visible press F7 this should make your layers
menu appear
If not try the file menu and click > Window > Layers
5.
You should have 2 layers like so ....
Ensure you have the blank new layer (Layer 1) selected.
6.
Now select the brush tool, you can change your brush type. properties
by clicking on the brushes drop down located below and to the right
of the file menu.
Firstly im going to trace all of the letter outlines with my brush tool,
when your done your should have something like this ...
Please note i did this really quick and isnt really that neat.
7.
Now insert another new layer .... this time in your layer window (F7)
drag the new layer (if its not already) under your outlines layer like
so ....
8. Now select a fill colour and with your brush tool making sure you
have your new layer selected carefully fill the letters on by one ....
Well thats about it ... he he .... but we're not going to stop here
...
Now insert another new layer ... this time arrange the new layer so
its under the outline but above the fill layer.
All im going to do with this layer is add some high lights by tracing
with another colour just inside our original outline...
Repeat the above technique of adding layers ... and experiment see what
you can do .... thats really the basics ... you need to develope your
own techniques and effects by playing about with the software ... but
i hope this points you in the right direction.
